The Houston Society of AIA will present "Ancient Encounters - Houston", a series of hands-on activities to celebrate National Archaeology Day as part of events connected to "KBR Kids Day -  Buffalo Bayou Festival.  "Events will help children and families learn about indigenous groups that lived along Buffalo Bayou.  Included are mock excavations of a midden, a bone count to determine diet,and flintknapping demonstrations.  All children will be able to make a shell bead necklace and take away coloring sheets depicting the lives of those who lived along the Bayou.
