Salem Maritime National Historic Site, Narbonne House
71 Essex Street
Join us for 17th-Century Saturdays at the Narbonne House. In the 1970’s, the National Park Service conducted archaeological fieldwork at the site in order to better understand the changes made to the structure and interior of the house over time. Over 150,000 artifacts were recovered during the excavations, which provide interesting insights into the history of the house and the lives of its occupants. Tour the home, see the archaeological exhibit inside, and participate in the family friendly archaeology activities.
