Discover the hidden story of Presidio Hill, the site where San Diego began! By exploring the original site of the historic fortress, observing authentic artifacts, and participating in a mock dig, children are introduced to the science of archaeology and how today's archaeologists learn about the past. This hour long immersive program has kids excavating, cross mending, and processing reproduction artifacts that reveal the history of San Diego's earliest beginnings; and the opportunity to ask a current archaeologist about real experiences in the field!
