The Office of Archaeological Studies, in collaberation with the Santa Fe Chapter of the Archaeological Institute of America and othe organizations in Northern New Mexico will host an open house at the Center for New Mexico Archaeology on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the new builing, which is the primary storage facility for New Mexico's archaeological collections, as well as the offices and working research laboratories of the Office of Archaeological Studies. Visitors of all ages can learn abou New Mexico's unique 12,000 year cultural heritage through a wide range of hands-on activities, demonstrations, and interactions with archaeologists. Come throw atlatls, shoot bows, make yucca cordage, learn about rock art, and query archaeologists with all those questions you have always wanted to ask about New Mexico archaeology.
