We welcome proposals from faculty, independent scholars and advanced graduate students whose research focuses on the ceramic arts.  Paper topics that address the theme, particularly submissions that take an interdisciplinary approach to material/visual culture, are welcome.  Please send an abstract of no more than 300 words for 20 minute papers with your name, title, institutional affiliation (if applicable) together with a short CV to the conference organizer, Dr. Kimberly S. Busby, kimberly.busby@angelo.edu by Friday, September 16, 2011.  The symposium will be held on April 19, 2012 in conjunction with the Twenty-Seventh Annual San Angelo Ceramic Symposium, April 19-22, 2012 at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.
