Dan Davis

Dan L. Davis is with Luther College, and has been a researcher with the Sea Research Foundation and editor for the Journal of Roman Archaeology.  He holds his degrees from the University of Texas at Austin (Ph.D.), Texas A&M University (M.A.), and the University of Iowa (B.A.).  His areas of specialization are classics and classical archaeology, and maritime and deepwater archaeology, and he has a forthcoming publication on “Navigation and Navigators in the Greek and Roman World".  Dr. Davis is the AIA’s McCann/Taggart Lecturer for 2011/2012.
