Marcello Canuto

Marcello Canuto is Director of the Middle American Research Institute at Tulane University, and Associate Professor with the Department of Anthropology there.  He received his degrees from Harvard University (A.B.) and the University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D.).  His area of specialization is Mayan archaeology, and he is currently the Director of La Corona Regional Archaeological Project in Guatemala, and Co-Director of  the El Paraíso Archaeological Project in Honduras.
