National Archaeology Day Celebrations at the Journey Museum

South Dakota’s Journey Museum celebrated their inaugural Earth Science Day on October 13 in honor of National Archaeology Day. Turn out was much better than expected, with 125 attendees turning out to enjoy the family-friendly archaeology fair. Activities included a film screening and a mock dig, which was a big hit with the kids.
The Bayon Information Center in Siem Reap, Cambodia has joined as a new Collaborating Organization for International Archaeology Day 2013.
The Legacy: Hands on the Past, Center for Archaeological Research at The University of Texas at San Antonio and Frank H. McClung Museum at the University of Tennessee Knoxville have returned for International Archaeology Day 2013.
This week, the AIA has paired with two new organizations to promote International Archaeology Day 2013.
