Archaeology in Action at the Presidio Archaeology Lab
October 25, 2012
For National Archaeology Day, The Presidio Archaeology Lab opened its newly completed lab and collections facility to the public. Archaeologist Kari Jones led visitors on tours of the state-of-the-art lab and collections facility. In the Lab that day, Presidio Trust architectural conservators were analyzing paint samples from the Officer’s Club; visitors could watch a paint analysis workshop in progress.
Volunteers are needed to monitor the translations of the International Archaeology Day webpage.
After two years of great success, National Archaeology Day will change to International Archaeology Day for 2013.
The Friends of the Office of State Archaeology in Connecticut acted as a participating partner in National Archaeology Day by sponsoring an Archaeology Fair.
