Louisiana State Exhibit Museum Opens Native Peoples of Louisiana Gallery

On National Archaeology Day, the State Exhibit Museum in Shreveport, Louisiana held a grand opening of the new Clarence H. Webb and Dorothy Dodd Webb Native American Galleries with special museum tours. To celebrate this event, the museum also held an archaeology fair and a film screening. This event reached an audience of over 200 visitors.
University of Alaska Anchorage hosted International Archaeology Day on October 19th.
The Northeast Region of the Florida Public Archaeology Network hosted an Archaeology Bar Crawl through downtown St. Augustine in honor of International Archaeology Day.
The Commission to Preserve National Monuments celebrated the International Archaeology Day with a series of events titled "Cultural Memory, a Vanishing Treasure: Archaeological Heritage of BiH."
