The AIA-Central Mississippi Chapter, in conjunction with the Mississippi Archaeological Association hosted the Mississippi Archaeology Expo at Millsaps College on October 27, 2012. In spite of dreary weather, approximately 500 attended the festivities which included artifact identification and displays, pottery making, atlatl demonstrations, Native American drumming, chanting, and dancing, Civil War re-enactors, Ground Penetrating Radar demonstrations, a Rock Art wall, "Demo Dig" activities, and numerous other children’s' activities.
