Best AIA Local Society Program Contest
Congratulations to the AIA-Milwaukee Society, whose Lab open house on "The Archaeology of Food and Drink" was voted the best Society program or event that took place between September 1, 2012, and April 30, 2013.
The AIA is dedicated to promoting archaeology to the wider public. Our commitment to public outreach is evident in the hundreds of public events we organize each year including lectures, archaeology fairs, the Annual Meeting, and the emphasis of the Site Preservation Program.
The Site Preservation Program is funding the San Bartolo Mural Project thanks to a special gala pledge drive.
Three of the AIA’s professional members were awarded fellowships from the American Council of Learned Societies at the 2013 ACLS Annual Meeting.
