Overview
The AIA takes a holistic approach to site preservation, using the organization's strengths to fulfill the AIA's mission and make the greatest overall impact. The program focuses on:
▪ Education
▪ Outreach
▪ Facilitating the Spread of Best Practices
▪ Direct Preservation
The AIA is uniquely qualified to carry out a Site Preservation Program because of our close connection to our network of professional members in the field; 130 year history of archaeological public outreach; widespread programming; and access to millions of people interested in archaeology.
Our program focuses on grant giving, recognition and dissemination of best practices, advocacy, and public outreach.
