Project Description:
ZamoraProtohistórica Archaeology Society begins a new archaeological project in the border between Spain and Portugal, in the archaeological site “Castro de La Encarnación” (Rabanales, Zamora). This project involves the Iron Age until Late Roman Period in this region. In January of 2018, the project was concentrated on a survey project about different hillforts in the region. In August 2018, the archaeological project is concentrated on the archaeological excavation of defensive wall and the principal structures inside the hillfort.
