Application Process

“The research project ‚Äú3D-Forensic Analysis and Contextualisation of Aegean Seals and Sealings‚Äù (funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research) is looking to fill at the shorter possible notice a three-year position as Postdoctoral Researcher (75%) Remuneration is based on the TV-L salary scale (TV-L 13, with ¬æ-part-time-employment) and its associated public sector benefits. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work at the Heidelberg Corpus of Minoan and Mycenaean Seals in cooperation with researchers from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Scientific Computing (University of Heidelberg) employing cutting-edge methods and technology for the reconstruction of Aegean sealing practices. The position does not involve any teaching responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Applicants for the position must hold a PhD in the appropriate subject field (Aegean Archaeology) and should also document:

-excellent research quality,

-a capacity for cross-disciplinary thinking,

-the ability to work independently and in collaboration within a research group,

-fluency in English. Command of German would be appreciated, but is not required.”
