The Maxine & Jesse Whitney Museum and the Valdez Museum & Historical Archive teamed up to bring National Archaeology Day to Valdez, Alaska. A family-friendly scavenger hunt was held between the two museums. Kids and their parents enjoyed seeking artifacts from their photos contrasted with the historical artifact. A mosaic tile making project was part of the festivities at the Whitney. It was a wonderful way to spend a blustery Saturday afternoon!
