Peru Travel Documents – 2024

We hope you are looking forward to the Archaeological Institute of America’s The Best of Ancient Peru program. The following is a list of available documents and information to help you begin your preparation. Printed versions of these documents are also available on request.

Forms are due to AIA Tours by June 11, 2024. Please mail to: AIA Tours, PO Box 938, Walpole, NH 03608. Forms may also be returned by email to aia@studytours.org or by fax to 603-756-2922.

Air Arrangements: (Download)

Roundtrip airfare between home and Lima, Peru (LIM), is not included. In-program flights are included in the tour (cost subject to change). A group airport transfer will be provided for those arriving in Lima (LIM) on September 9th. Please arrive by 8:30 pm to join the group arrival transfer. If you arrive earlier in the day and prefer to book a private transfer, that can be arranged for additional cost. Check-in at the Pullman Lima Miraflores Hotel is at 12:00 pm. On September 24th, the group flight from Cuzco to Lima will arrive in the late afternoon. Connecting flights should depart after 8:30 pm that evening.

Passport and Visa:

A passport is required for this program. Please be sure your passport is valid for at least six months after the end of the tour. Check your passport to make sure that it has sufficient space for entry and exit stamps with at least one blank page, not including the amendment and endorsement pages.

Visas for U.S. citizens are free and issued at the port of entry. If you are not a U.S. citizen check with the consulates nearest you for applicable regulations and requirements.

Final Mailing

Your final mailing will be emailed approximately two weeks prior to departure. This will include last-minute instructions, luggage tags, a participant list, contact information, etc. You will also receive a mailed package with your name badge and luggage tags.

NOTE: If you are leaving your home prior to the group departure date, please contact me immediately so that I can make sure you receive your final packet before you depart.
