The AIA-Central Missouri Society celebrated International Archaeology Day on October 20 by doing some community outreach at their local library in Columbia, MO. Library patrons had an opportunity to see and touch ancient artifacts, to work on putting together a broken replica of an oil lamp, and to hear about the exciting program of lectures available to the public at the University of Missouri campus. The table also featured a slide show of photographs incorporating images distributed by the AIA national office as well as those of MU students participating in various archaeological excavations.
