Centro Studi Archeologici Apuo-Versiliese con il patrocinio del Comune di Carrara Celebrates Archaeology Day

Second Lab: Digging Our Past!

The Centro Studi Archeologici Apuo-Versiliese con il patrocinio del Comune di Carrara cosponsored an event that was hosted by the Museo del Marmo di Carrara for International Archaeology Day in October of 2013.The event was committed to providing quality archaeology education opportunities for visitors of all ages, in particular schools and families

In the museum there are 7 galleries and an “archaeological garden” which showcase over 1,260 artifacts from the Museum’s growing collections. This archaeo-interactive activity from the Centro Studi Archeologici Apuo-Versiliese introduces historical archaeology through a series of experimental labs by which kids can explore and analyze ancient artifacts

All day long, kids explored art and archaeology together with their adult companions for the very first time in Carrara
