The photo shows the high reliefs of a capital in the cloister of the medieval monastery of San Zoilo, in Carrión de los Condes, Spain. The initial aim was to remind the monks that life is ephemeral and sin should be avoided, but today it is amusing to see the contrast of the cherubs and the skull.
