An event every week that begins at 12:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until October 30, 2019
Sponsored by: South Carolina Department of Natural Resources
Have you ever wondered what archaeologists do after they complete an excavation? Where do the artifacts go? Answer – the archaeology laboratory for processing and analysis!
Did you know that for every day archaeologists spend in the field they spend about a week in the laboratory washing, sorting and analyzing the artifacts that they uncover? The laboratory component of archaeology is where the story of the past starts to come together as archaeologists analyze artifacts and add to our collective human history. Now you can help the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) Archaeology team as a laboratory volunteer!
Select your time and date to volunteer on their event website!
