The Archaeological Institute of America is delighted to announce that Margaret “Meg” Sneeringer has joined the staff of the American Journal of Archaeology as its new Managing Editor. Meg joins the AJA from trade book publishing, bringing editorial and production experience from Rick Steves’ Europe and No Starch Press. Her publishing career follows 10 years in archaeology, including fieldwork in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, and Ireland. The long history of her involvement with the AIA goes all the way back to volunteering at outreach events as a Boston University student (and eventually led to founding an annual archaeology fair celebrating International Archaeology Day). In her free time, Meg attempts ambitious baking projects and explores the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her dog.
We are pleased to have the opportunity to welcome Meg as the new Managing Editor for the AJA!
