Chimney Rock National Monument

Located at the southern edge of the San Juan Mountains in Southwestern Colorado. Chimney Rock is the highest in elevation of all the Chacoan sites, at about 7,000 feet above sea level. The site preserves 200 ancient homes and ceremonial buildings of the Ancestral Puebloans and house approximately 2,000 ancient Pueblo Indians between A.D. 925 and 1125.
