Between them, AIA Trustees, Sarah Parcak and Josh Gates, have a wealth of experience working in the field, and both have found themselves appearing before the bright lights of a television camera on more than one occasion. Sarah Parcak, is a National Geographic Society Archaeology Fellow, Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, and winner of the 2016 $1 million TED Prize.  She serves as the founding director of the Laboratory for Global Observation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Josh Gates holds a degree in archaeology from Tufts University and is a member of The Explorers Club. The Discovery Channel’s Expedition Unknown chronicles Gates’ adventures as he sets out on a global journey to find the truth behind iconic unsolved legends and archaeological mysteries.

On Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the University of Southern California’s Bovard Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, the AIA will host a special event bringing together both Sarah Parcak and Josh Gates for an entertaining and enlightening evening.  The two will share stories of their adventures in the field and from their television experiences. There will be time for audience members to ask questions and some attendees will even have an opportunity to meet the presenters.
