The AIA Site Preservation program kicked off a pledge drive the night of the 2nd Annual AIA Gala in New York City. The program hopes to raise $100,000 before the end of the AIA’s fiscal year on June 30. Site Preservation was a part of the live auction at the gala and thanks to the many generous bids made that night, we are more than halfway to completing this goal!
Founded in 2007, the Site Preservation Program works to safeguard the world’s archaeological heritage for future generations through direct preservation, by raising awareness of threats to sites, by organizing educational and outreach programs, and by facilitating the spread of best site preservation practices through workshops, lectures, and publications.
