National Archaeology Day was celebrated in St. Louis at Mastodon State Historic Site. Amateur and professional archaeologists came together to discuss the rich archaeological resources in Jefferson County, MO. Michael Fuller, former president of the St. Louis Society of the AIA, gave a standing room only lecture discussing new insights on several local sites. The celebration was organized by the St. Louis Society of the AIA with assistance of the Three Rivers and Mound City Archaeological Societies.
