The AIA website (www.archaeological.org) has a new look and feel. Vivid images and streamlined navigation make it even easier for visitors to search for an event or lecture, join a Local Society, discover excavation opportunities, and learn about the Institute’s worldwide efforts to protect endangered archaeological sites. “The site now truly reflects the vitality of the Institute,” says AIA CEO Peter Herdrich. “This is a terrific step for us in terms of building a robust online community of professional archaeologists and archaeology enthusiasts.”
In the coming months, technical improvements to each section will further enhance the user experience. “In the meantime, we hope AIA Members as well as new visitors spend time on the site to learn about our mission, goals, and initiatives, and how they can get involved,” says AIA President C. Brian Rose.
