The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) joined as a Collaborating Organization for National Archaeology Day and issued an Information Bulletin to all BLM employees encouraging them to showcase their archaeological programs and resources by holding events on National Archaeology Day. The BLM’s stated mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. This year, the BLM is celebrating the 200th anniversary of its predecessor agency the General Land Office.
