For International Archaeology Day, members of the AIA-Central Arizona Society engaged in “mudslinging” at Pueblo Grande Museum in Phoenix. This stabilization process involves throwing specially-prepared mud at the ancient Hohokam ruins to slow down the natural erosion of the monuments. Local community members joined in the fun, and after an educational tour the participants got their hands dirty to help save the site for future generations.
