Topic: Etruscan
The Archaeological Institute of America established a special lecture in honor of Count Ferdinando H. Cinelli and his late wife, Sarah. Count Cinelli served on the AIA Board of Directors from 1995 to 1997.
The Ferdinando and Sarah Cinelli Lecture in Etruscan and Italic Archaeology is held annually. The location of the lecture will change from year to year, and all of the AIA’s local societies will be eligible to receive the Cinelli Lecture. The inaugural Cinelli Lecture will be given by Professor Richard De Puma in 2003 at the Detroit, Michigan, Society.
The Ferdinando and Sarah Cinelli Lecture in Etruscan and Italic Archaeology was made possible through a generous gift from the Etruscan Foundation, a charitable organization that strives to promote greater understanding of the history and cultural heritage of the Etruscans.
