This lectureship was established in 1998 by Artemis A.W. Joukowsky to honor his friend, Vartan Gregorian. Mr. Gregorian was President of the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Dr. Joukowsky was Chancellor of Brown University and a long-time supporter of the AIA.
