Call for Papers Deadline: August 31, 2023
Following the successful launch of our new annual event, ArchTalk, last year, we at the Save Cultural Heritage Group are excited to continue bringing together people from various disciplines and fields related to archaeology and cultural heritage to celebrate International Archaeology Day. This event will provide you with a platform to share insights into your research and work experience with others in the field.
Theme 1: Ancient Paths & Modern Tracks
This theme will, among others, discuss how historical & archaeological heritage is represented in modern media & whether different ideologies & narratives are portrayed there.
Theme 2: Climate Change & Cultural Heritage
This theme will revolve around the impact of climate change on cultural heritage & the need for international, national, & local solutions for sustainability.
Theme 3: Accessible Communication in Archaeology
This theme will include the importance of conveying archaeological research to the public & suggests ways to attract the public through various media.

Format:
Each participant will have 10 minutes to present his work as a PowerPoint presentation/ Live Video or via different media. These talks will be followed by a discussion/Q&A, involving the presenters and their chosen topics.

Important Dates:
Receiving submissions from Thursday, June 01, 2023 until 11:59pm (GMT+1) on August 31, 2023, which is the extended deadline. Everyone will be notified of their submission’s status within 48 hours. If you don’t hear back by then, send us an email or DM us. Listeners/attendees can register through same link until October 10, 2023.
Note: All submissions are presented as anonymous when reviewed and voted on by our review committee. Students’ race, ethnicity, gender, and/or sexual orientation will never affect the status of their submission; all are welcome to submit. The Director Academics reserves the right to reject submissions for reasons that violate our Non-Discrimination Policy.
