175 guests joined us in San Francisco on October 15th for our very first AIA Soirée at the Fairmont Hotel. The pinnacle of classic luxury, this historic hotel set the scene for what was a truly elegant evening. Guests mixed and mingled with the AIA’s trustees and distinguished members over cocktails in the hotel’s charming Cirque room. The Fairmont’s award-winning culinary team prepared a delicious dinner, served in the Gold Room, so named for its gilded architectural details, glittering crystal chandeliers, and intricate hand-painted murals. Archaeology was an integral part of the evening, with a scintillating lecture from Dr. Patrick Hunt on new technologies and scientific techniques that have aided in archaeological discovery and understanding. A fantastic time was had by all at this educational and entertaining event.
Special thanks to Soiree chairs Cathleen Asch and Andrew Bridges for their help in ensuring the evening’s success.
