Nationwide, one of the world’s largest insurance and financial services companies, is joining International Archaeology Day as a sponsor. Nationwide’s support will enable us to further expand our efforts in making IAD a truly global event. Started in 2011, International Archaeology Day is a rapidly growing worldwide celebration of archaeology and the thrill of discovery. Archaeological organizations from around the globe mark IAD by presenting archaeological programs and activities for people of all ages and interests. Based on early participation numbers, the AIA expects International Archaeology Day to grow significantly in 2017. We hope to have even more events than the 700 hosted by over 500 Collaborating Organizations in at least two dozen countries in 2016.
