October 25, 2023
This past weekend on October 21, 2023, the New Jersey State Museum participated in International Archaeology Day with talks, presentations, a short film screening, and hands-on activities. These interactive sessions included pottery refitting and an activity called What Will Survive where visitors tried to figure out what objects and materials would preserve after 500 years. Curators also led tours of the museum’s exhibits and taught attendees about urban archaeology. For future events at the museum, check out their events calendar!
