This year for International Archaeology Day, the AIA-Princeton Society hosted a coloring event for the public! With partners from the Visual Resources division of Princeton University’s Department of Art and Archaeology and the Princeton Public Library, participants could take free coloring supplies to pen and ink drawings by Howard Crosby Butler. Butler drafted these images of monuments and artifacts during campaigns to Sardis and Greece. Colorers were encouraged to share their art on social media and tag #IAD2023!
