On October 16 and 17, 2015, the AIA teamed up with the Museum of Science, Boston (MOS) to host our 9th Annual AIA-MOS Archaeology Fair.
The event included a special welcome from His Excellency Ambassador Vasilios Philippou and an introduction by Michele Kidwell-Gilbert.
The AIA-Gainesville Society celebrated International Archaeology Day at a new exhibit opening at the Florida Museum of Natural History, and by hosting two related lectures on the archaeology and history of St. Augustine.
Several special guests contributed to this year’s fair, which drew over 90 people.
450 people attended fair full of hands-on activities, educational booths, and general fun.
Artifacts, living historians, and hands-on study made for a successful event.
Over 475 people visited 25 exhibits held by local AIA Society and Parks Department.
The Archaeology Museum at the University of South Alabama celebrated International Archaeology Day with a wide array of activities!
The event was held in celebration of International Archaeology Day at the Mycenaean archaeological park of Voudeni.
On IAD, the AIA-Richmond Society took a walking tour of the grounds at Rural Plains with National Park Service Historian Robert E.L. Krick.
