The Archaeological Institute of America is pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual celebration of National Archaeology Day will be held on October 20, 2012.
The Denver and Boulder Chapters of the Archaeological Institute of America cosponsored an event that was hosted by Paleoresearch Institute Inc for National Archaeology Day.

On National Archaeology Day AIA-Western Massachusetts members were joined by students from Mt. Holyoke and Smith colleges, members of the Whately Historical Society, and local residents to explore an archaeological site at the MacLeish Field Station (West Whately, Massachusetts) and to learn about forest archaeology and historic sites.
National Archaeology Day was celebrated in St. Louis at Mastodon State Historic Site.
