The AIA-Puget Sound Society partnered in sponsoring a celebration of International Archaeology Day at the Burke Museum this year. The museum hosted a day of activities to learn about local and global archaeology and heritage both for IAD and Washington’s State Archaeology Month, including flintknapping, shell midden sorting, cacao grinding, archaeological techniques, and the examination of Pre-Roman Italian, Latin, and Egyptian artifacts. It was a successful and fun fair!
