As part of National Archaeology Day, the Stanford AIA Society hosted a series of lecture tours of the Stanford Museum Collections. Talks focused on Egyptian, Classical, Asian and African cultures. Many of the attendees were new to the museum, while others were museum visitors that joined the group. One highlight was the afternoon sun illuminating the Qing Dynasty jades from behind, a magical moment that emphasized why jade has been prized throughout history.
