The University of Alabama Museums at Moundville Archaeological Park held their annual Native American Festival, now in its 25th year, from October 9th through 12th 2013 for International Archaeology Day 2013. 10,627 visitors attended the four days of the festival, including 6,082 school children of all ages on field trips during the week. Visitors enjoyed Living History demonstrations, traditional Native American dances, craft and lifestyle demonstrations, and even an archaeology exhibit on top of Mound P, located behind the recently-renovated Jones Archaeological Museum.
