We hope you are looking forward to the Archaeological Institute of America Origins of Humans & Wine: Azerbaijan, Georgia & Armenia program. The following is a list of information and linked documents to help you begin your preparation. Printed versions of these documents are also available on request.

Air Arrangements: (Download)

Airport transfers are included for all guests who arrive in Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD and depart from Yerevan on the Zvartnots International Airport (EVN) on the scheduled group program start (10/15/2024) and end (10/29/2024) dates, regardless of their arrival or departure times. The check-in time at Hilton Baku is 3:00 p.m. To join the welcome reception, please arrive at the hotel by 6:00 p.m. The check-out time at the Tufenkian Historic Yerevan Hotel is at noon.

Passport and Visa:

A valid passport is required for international travel. Please check to be sure it is valid for six months after the end of the tour. Check your passport to make sure that it has sufficient space for entry/exit stamps.

A visa is required to visit Azerbaijan. We will file for the visas on your behalf and send them to you before you depart on this trip. Georgia and Armenia do not require a visa for entry for US citizens.

Final Mailing

Your final mailing will be emailed approximately two weeks prior to departure. This will include last-minute instructions, luggage tags, a participant list, contact information, etc. You will also receive a mailed package with your name badge and luggage tags.

NOTE: If you are leaving your home prior to the group departure date, please contact me immediately so that I can make sure you receive your final packet before you depart.
