Nikolina Topić is an archaeologist and glass specialist with 17 years of experience. She received her first degree in Archaeology from the University of Zagreb. After several years of fieldwork, Nikolina enrolled at the University of Zadar where she received her Ph.D. in medieval and post-medieval glass, within the postgraduate study “Archaeology of the Eastern Adriatic.” She attended “Study days on Venetian glass” courses at Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti in Venice in 2015, 2017, and 2019. Nikolina published many papers in international and Croatian journals (available at Academia.edu), and presented two solo exhibitions on glass material in Dubrovnik and Zadar. She has presented at international conferences and public lectures as well. As an excavation leader Nikolina worked on diverse projects in the historic center of Dubrovnik (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and in the surrounding region. As a team member she also participated in various excavations in Croatia and the United Kingdom. Currently, Nikolina is collaborating on the project “Discovering of Old Dubrovnik Cathedrals” (Department of Art History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb and the City Parish of Our Lady the Great in Dubrovnik). Her book on glass in the Dubrovnik Republic will be published soon.
